Ula o Mānatunatu Workshops
A Sacred Journey of Grief and Remembrance
The Ula o Mānatunatu Workshops offer a unique and transformative space for our Pasifika communities to process grief & loss.

Drawing on Pasifika traditions and methodologies, these workshops are designed to support participants through their grieving process, providing both emotional and practical tools for healing.

What to expect
The Ula o Mānatunatu Workshops are designed to guide you through the grieving process with dignity and empowerment, using culturally significant Pasifika methodologies.
Talanoa
Vaioleti (2006)
Through heartfelt conversation, we open the space for participants to share their experiences of grief, creating a collective bond of understanding and compassion.
Fa'afaletui
Tamasese (2005)
My personal research into grief is woven into the fabric of these workshops, allowing me to facilitate a deeper understanding of how to move forward with hope and resilience.
The Ula Model
Sauni (2011)
Participants will choose fabric or materials that represent their loved ones, creating a personal Ula (garland) that signifies the love, respect, and honour shared with those who have passed.
A Transformative Experience of Healing
This workshop is more than a process - it's a journey of remembrance, healing, and connection. By incorporating traditional Pasifika values, the Ula o Mānatunatu workshops offer a sacred space to express grief, honour loved ones, and build lasting connections with others who are walking similar paths.
"Enabling Grief brings Acceptance…"
Grief, often described as being “seen but not heard,” can now be "seen and heard" in a space where Indigenous and Pasifika knowledge, as well as tacit wisdom, combine to support you through the healing process.
